About Course

Students will be given step-by-step instruction to begin their search. Organizational skills, forms and online opportunities are incorporated to help search for family history information online. The course consists of an introduction including forms and tools, the genealogical research process, an overview of the sources used for genealogical research, family records and sources. Included are places to find information such as cemetery/death records, church records, military records, court records, federal, state and local sources and many more as well as making sense of what you find. Discussion will include various types of DNA tests and what to expect from them.

Note: Course does not qualify for the NSS benefit.
