High School Enrollment FAQ

High School Applications:

When can I apply to CV Tech?

Each fall, current Sophomores attending our partner schools will be given several chances to explore CV Tech programs.  Freshmen pursuing advanced coursework will also be contacted about our Pre-Engineering and Biomedical Sciences programs. Our team will visit high schools and schedule tours of our campus.  Additionally, each campus will hold an Open House in the fall that is open to the public.  Please pay careful attention to deadlines during this time.

What happens after I submit my application?

Counselors will interview students for consideration in a program, usually in the month of February. A simple, short interview is done to get to know the student’s future career goals.

What is considered for placement in a program?

When a student is interviewed for consideration for a program counselors use a rubric to assess career interest, academic levels, grades, attendance and schedule availability in the overall decision making process.

When we I be notified if I was accepted into a program at CV Tech?

All students that have been interviewed will receive a letter mailed to their address listed on the application.

If I am not accepted what happens to my application?

Students are put on a waiting list for consideration if a spot opens up. However, if a spot does not come open within that academic year they would need to reapply.

Are late applications accepted?

Late applications are only accepted based on program availability and waitlists.

What if I need accommodations?

We work with the student’s partner school team to ensure about accommodations are provided.
