About Course

This course is for students seeking licensure as an electrical journeyman. It is not intended for non-professional training. Students will be trained in single-phase 120/240 volt and three-phase 208/277/480-volt electricity. Major areas of study are basic wiring, residential wiring, and commercial wiring. Each session builds on the knowledge from the previous session. Students will receive intensive training in the use and understanding of the National Electrical Code, safety, math, blueprint reading, conduit bending and installation, alarm systems, and electrical testing. Advanced sessions are available in electromechanical motor controls and programmable logic controllers. All sessions are part instructor-led, part self-paced, and part hands-on-labs, allowing students to progress at their own pace.
