About Course

Become a Certified Medication Aide. Upon completion of this course you must pass the State Certification Exam. Clinicals arranged with instructor. Must furnish uniform (scrubs) for all in-person activities.

Required: Book.

Prerequisites: Must be at least 18 years of age; have a high school diploma or GED; hold current certification for LTC, HHC or DDDC with no abuse notations; have six months experience as a nurse aide; be physically and mentally able to perform the duties as a Medication Aide. National Background Check, flu vaccine and two-step TB test required upon enrollment. Drug Screen is time-sensitive and will be explained during orientation.

Hybrid – Coursework is 100% online. Orientation, skills, and testing performed on-site.
