Refunds
- Full-time program refund policy can be found in the student handbook.
- District policy states books and other supplies purchased at CV Tech are non-refundable.
- Short-Term Cancellation & Refund Policy*: Refunds must be requested prior to second class meeting to qualify for refund. Refunds will be subject to a processing fee. Please allow 10-14 days for refund processing. Payment in full is required at the time of enrollment. Classes cancelled by Canadian Valley Technology Center will qualify for a full refund. (*per board policy)
CV Tech promotes continued educational opportunities through discounts for our senior citizens, youth, military, and educators.Â
Senior Citizen Discount
CV Tech promotes lifelong learning by providing certain benefits to individuals who are 65 and older.
Eligibility​
To be eligible for the discount, an individual must be 65 years of age or older and live in the district of a CV Tech sending school.
Tuition Waiver ​
Eligible students may receive a 100% tuition waiver on one qualifying short term ACCD (Adult Career and Community Development) course per semester.*(see note)
Conditions​
- Discount must be requested at time of enrollment. Please provide proof of eligibility at time of enrollment.​
- The student must purchase books, study materials, and supplies required for the class, workshop, or seminar.​
- CV Tech may discontinue offering this benefit at any time at the discretion of the board; however, such discontinuation will not affect individuals who are enrolled in the program at the time the decision to discontinue the program is made. Individuals who fraudulently obtain a tuition discount under this program will be required to repay the tuition discounted, will be removed from enrollment at CV Tech and will be ineligible for future enrollment at CV Tech.​

Educator Tuition Waiver
CV Tech promotes continued educational opportunities to CV Tech employees and sending school district employees.
Eligibility​
To be eligible for the discount, an individual must be an employee of CV Tech or a CV Tech district sending school at the time of enrollment; or a retiree of CV Tech or a CV Tech district sending school.

Military Tuition Discount
CV Tech promotes lifelong learning by providing certain benefits to individuals who are 65 and older.
Eligibility​
In order to be eligible for the discount, an individual must currently be a member of the armed forces or have received a discharge from the armed forces other than a dishonorable discharge and live in the State of Oklahoma.
One of the following military documents is required to establish eligibility:
- DD-214 (must include Character of Service)
- Military LES
- Discharge Certificate
- Military Orders
- Retirement Certificate ​
Tuition Waiver ​
Canadian Valley Technology Center honors all service members through our Free Tuition for Veterans Program. Veterans or active duty service members from all branches, including members of the National Guard, can receive free tuition on any of our full-time or short-term programs. Books and fees still apply. Fees, assesed for consumable classroom materials, are calculated at .15 per hour.*(see full details under military & veteran services and see short-term note below).

Next Step Scholarship
The Next Step Scholarship will cover tuition for Canadian Valley Technology Center full-time programs and eligible short-term courses that prepare students for a new career, develop new and emerging job skills, ease workforce transition, and/or enhance career development. The Next Step Scholarship will cover tuition and general enrollment fees for students taking short-term courses. The Next Step Scholarship is available for up to two full-time programs, but unlimited short-term courses.
Eligibility​
The Next Step Scholarship applicant must be twenty-three years of age or younger on the first day of class. Applicant must live in the Canadian Valley Technology Center school district. A scholarship recipient who turns twenty-four during the academic year will be able to finish the remainder of that academic year tuition-free. For all subsequent career programs and classes, the student will be required to pay tuition. The student will still be able to apply for financial aid or a foundation scholarship. Enrollment must be continuous. High school students or students working on their high school equivalency are eligible for short-term course provided they are in good standing and on track to earn a diploma.

Next Step policy updates listed below will become effective July 1, 2024.
The Canadian Valley Technology Center Board of Education recognizes the importance of providing access to quality career and technical education. The Next Step Tuition Waiver has been established to provide educational opportunities for eligible citizens under the age of twenty-four who reside in the district and have exhausted all other funding sources. The Next Step Tuition Waiver will cover tuition for Canadian Valley Technology Center full- time programs and eligible short-term courses that prepare students for a new career, develop new and emerging job skills, ease workforce transition, and/or enhance career development. The Next Step Tuition Waiver will cover tuition and general enrollment fees for high school students taking a short-term course. The Next Step Tuition Waiver is available for one full-time program and one eligible short-term course of 150 hours or more.

13th Year Tuition Waiver
This waiver is not yet available. This policy will become effective July 1, 2024.

The 13th Year Tuition Waiver has been established to provide students who start a full-time program as a high school student the opportunity to complete the program as an adult with continuous enrollment in the same program. The 13th Year Tuition Waiver will cover tuition only; the student is responsible for all fees due.

The 13th Year Tuition Waiver will be applied to a student account only after all other federal, state, or local funding sources have been applied (VA benefits is an exception and will be applied after tuition waiver).
Student Eligibility
To be eligible for the 13th Year Tuition Waiver, the student must have started a full-time program as a high school student with continuous enrollment in the same program as an adult. Students who withdraw or change programs will no longer be eligible for the 13th Year Tuition Waiver.

Application
The 13th Year Tuition Waiver Application is available for download on the district website. It is also available in the student services office.
In addition to submitting a FAFSA and a completed application, additional documentation of high school diploma or equivalent may be required.
Performance and Behavior
Students must make satisfactory progress towards completion of the program, maintain a B
average, stay in compliance with the CV Tech attendance policy, and have no disciplinary problems.
Students may be placed on a probation contract for violating the terms of the 13th Year Tuition Waiver. A student may also be placed on a probation contract for losing federal funding due to attendance. Continued violations will cause a loss of tuition waiver benefits and require payment of applicable tuition.
