Canadian Valley Technology Center instructor Andrea Verser is recipient of the National Technical Honor Society’s Advisor of the Month award for March 2020.
Verser, 37, of Chickasha, is an instructional math coach in support of high school students enrolled in 16 full-time programs at the school’s Chickasha Campus. She is also an advisor for NTHS, which is Career Tech’s highest student academic honor group. To be recognized, students must earn an “A” average in the classroom, have three or fewer absences and be recommended by their instructor for inclusion.
Verser helped CV Tech’s NTHS Chapter qualify for a 2018-19 Silver Star of Excellence Award, which recognizes chapters who best exemplify the seven key attributes – skill, honesty, service, responsibility, scholarship, citizenship and leadership. She also sits on the state NTHS executive council. The campus will induct 78 students into the honor society this year.
