A happy, young woman is greeting a CV Tech student at the USAO table during the recent Career Fair at CV Tech.'s El Reno Campus.

Students at Canadian Valley Technology Center recently explored career and educational opportunities in career fairs at two of the school’s campuses.

On Wednesday, the Chickasha Campus hosted 14 companies and nearly a dozen colleges, which provided students with insights into future career paths. Representatives from Norman Regional Health System, Grady County Hospital and the Oklahoma Department of Transportation were among those in attendance. Colleges included the University of Central Oklahoma, the University of Oklahoma’s Gallogly College of Engineering and Oklahoma City Community College.

Meanwhile, students at CV Tech’s El Reno Campus also benefited from a career fair featuring corporate vendors such as Grit Resources, Kirby Smith Machinery, and Progressive Stamping & Fabrication. Colleges in attendance included Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Redlands Community College and the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma.

“The takeaway is that these businesses and colleges are enthusiastically pursuing our students,” said Mindi Mitchell, event organizer and employment specialist at CV Tech. “We made a room available for job interviews on the spot. It’s a win-win for CV Tech students seeking a profession now or after college.”

By providing direct access to employers and higher education institutions, CV Tech continues to support students in their transition from education to employment.
