CV Tech students Judy Mickett and Georgana Craven stand beside a sizable amount of food that was recently collected by Future Health Professionals students and re-distributed to the Yukon Manna Pantry. The food will be given to needy families during the holiday season.

Future Health Professionals (HOSA) students at Canadian Valley Technology Center’s Cowan Campus recently collected

The students are enrolled in the Practical Nursing program. The total donated food was 218 pounds. All of it was given to the Manna Pantry in Yukon. The food included non-perishable can goods and some packaged food that is tradiationally served during the holidays.

Manna Panty is a food resource center which feeds the hungry in Canadian County. It is a non-profit community service supported by local organizations and individuals.

HOSA is one of a handful of student organizations at CV Tech. Besides leadership development, students also can participate in statewide and national contests as a result of their affiliation.
