CHICKASHA – Canadian Valley Technology Center’s Chickasha Campus Director Ronnie Bogle will be honored this month as recipient of an Outstanding Leadership Award by the Oklahoma Career Technical Education Equity Council.
Bogle, 39, of Middleberg, will attend the council’s 25th Annual Making It Work Day award banquet March 28 at the Oklahoma History Center.
Making It Work Day recognizes individuals who are committed to removing barriers to success for single-parent families by providing educational experiences for students beyond the classroom.
The council will also recognize outstanding students and graduates from technology centers and colleges statewide.
Bogle has been an educator for 17 years. He has worked at CV Tech for 14 years. Bogle is a former precision machining instructor.
Bogle is being recognized in particular for his support of the PIVOT work prep program offered at the Chickasha Campus.
PIVOT assists students with setting and reaching career goals. The program provides a structured and supportive environment for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and Non-TANF clients who seek to further their education or broaden their overall skill base through assistance in occupational training.
This can result in participants enrolling in full-time programs at CV Tech or might include academic remediation, job readiness training and placement.
