Canadian Valley Technology Center Nursing instructor Pam Roberts missed all of the Super Bowl LVII commercials on Sunday.

That’s because she was enjoying the game inside State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. She watched her son, James Winchester, snap the ball on the game-winning field goal with 10 seconds left. The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35.

Winchester, is the long snapper for the Chiefs, who won their second Super Bowl in the last four years. Winchester has not missed a game in his eight-year career in Kansas City. His late father, Mike Winchester, was the starting punter for Barry Switzer’s Sooner teams in the mid-1980s.

Roberts has been at CV Tech for 7 years. She helps prepare students enrolled in Practical Nursing to take the state exam to become Licensed Practical Nurses.
