Lowe Elected to National Board of Directors

CHICKASHA – Canadian Valley Technology Center Industrial Coordinator Dick Lowe has been elected to a three-year term on the Association for Career and Technology Education’s national board of directors.

Lowe, 58, of Amber, will serve as Postsecondary, Adult and Career Education Division vice president, beginning July 2018. He was also selected to chair the ACTE bylaws committee for the coming year.

Lowe is the only new board member representing Oklahoma.

ACTE is the nation’s largest not-for-profit association committed to the advancement of education. Its mission is to prepare youth and adults for successful careers.

The organization represents the community of career and technology education professionals at all levels of education. ACTE is committed to providing advocacy, public awareness and access to resources, professional development and leadership opportunities.

Lowe has worked at CV Tech's Chickasha Campus for eight years. He came to Canadian Valley from Red River Technology Center in Duncan, where he was the agriculture business management coordinator.

He was formerly an agriculture teacher at Ninnekah. As a business and industry coordinator, he works with nearly two-dozen area companies, providing consultation and customized industry training.

Lowe earned a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science/business option at Oklahoma State University and a Master of Science degree in educational leadership at Southern Nazarene University.

Lowe is married to Judy, and the couple has three grown sons.
