YUKON - Students enrolled in Health Careers at Canadian Valley Technology Center's Health Careers program together raised $668 to benefit mental health.

A raffle fundraiser that was approved by CV Tech's Board of Education was the means by which students raised the money on
behalf of their student organization, Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA).
Items for four gift baskets were collected by students and CV Tech faculty. Tickets were sold for $1 for the raffle.

All proceeds from ticket sales will be sent from the student organization directly to the National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI), which is a U.S. association of local affiliates, state organizations and volunteers who provide advocacy, education, support and public awareness so that individuals and families affected by mental illness can build better lives.

Ashley Dies, a Yukon adult, sold 123 tickets, which was the most of any CV Tech student.
