Our welding courses will provide you with classroom instruction and hands-on training in various welding techniques. Instruction is self-paced and individualized based on student goals. Major topics include welding theory, safety, blueprint reading and basic through advanced welding skills.
This course expands on the skills covered in Welding 1 and allows the learner to continue expanding skills based on their personalized learning plan. Students have the opportunity to gain advanced experience in stick, MIG and TIG welding on plate and pipe and will receive individualized certification preparation for their desired certification. Prerequisite: Welding 1
NOTE: Certification fee is not included in the cost of the course and must be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance through the instructor and ACE coordinator. A certified DOL-approved Certified Welding Inspector will provide the paperwork required to get the Department of Labor ID card on successfully passing the designated test.
Required: Welding gloves, safety glasses, steel toe boots and long sleeve shirt. Students not arriving to class prepared with proper requirements will be marked absent for the evening and risk being dropped from the course.
