Sewing Fundamentals & More

If you are new to sewing or just made a decision to start sewing again, this course is designed with you in mind.  Sewing is satisfying and can be the inspiration you need to stat a new business.  We will cover the basics to help you make and restyle simple home fashions, clothes and accessories or brush up on your present skills.  This class will help you become more familiar with your machine by creating a stitch book for personal reference, working and understanding various tensions, threads, needles, fabrics, built-in stitches and more.  A small sewing project will be created.  You will need to bring to class:  scissors, sewing machine, sewing accessory box with attachments, extra needles, bobbins, manual, cords, foot control, dual duty thread in two bright colors, and 1 yard of quality solid cotton fabric in a  light color.  Projects could include bags and pillows.  Required:  Book

Prerequisite:  Some knowledge of your sewing machine is required.
