Riflesmithing - Model 700 Action
This class is a detailed hands-on study in the construction and assembly of bolt action style rifles, in specific the Model 700 Action. Instruction will take place in the machine shop and classroom to demonstrate bench work and more detailed gunsmithing machining. Topics include: Shop and machine safety, proper sight and optics installation and adjustments, accurizing procedures, barrel contouring and fitting, headspacing and chambering of barrels, trigger design and installation, bolt modifications and trouble diagnosis. Prerequisite: Basic Firearms Introduction and Precision Machining for Gunsmithing. Safety glasses required.
