Certified Medication Aide (CMA)
Become a Certified Medication Aide. Upon completion of this course, student must pass the State Certification Exam. Clinicals arranged per instructor. Must furnish uniform for clinical portion.
Prerequisite: Must be at least 18 years of age; have a high school diploma or GED; hold current certification for LTC, HHC or DDDC with no abuse notations; have six months experience as a nurse aid; be physically and mentally able to perform the duties as a Medication Aide. Book required. National Background Check, flu vaccine and two-step TB test required upon enrollment. Drug screen is time sensitive and will be explained during orientation.
