Advanced Manual Machining

This course expands the basic principles learned in Basic Manual Machining and expands the difficulty level and narrows the tolerances of lathe and mill projects.  This course will allow students to work on various lathe and mill tasks that utilize our CNC equipment.  Shop activities include safety, drawing basics, engineering (CAD/CAM) and are used to improve understanding of CNC machines and programming.  Individualized instruction can include additional advanced topics based on student goals.  Prerequisite:  Basic Manual Machining or equivalent experience.  Book and safety glasses required.
