CV Tech Names Top Students at Cowan and El Reno Campus Graduation

Canadian Valley Technology Center held its annual Graduation ceremonies for the north side of its district on May 11 at Yukon Middle School’s Fine Arts Auditorium.

Two ceremonies were held for the first time because of increased numbers of graduates at both the Cowan Campus in Yukon and the El Reno Campus.

During the ceremonies, two high school students and two adult students received CV Tech Foundation Outstanding Scholar Awards, which included $1,000 check for each. Funds were provided courtesy of the Foundation, which was was incorporated in 1984 to foster and promote technology education. 

Cowan Campus recipients of the awards are Grant McCutchan, of Piedmont, who completed the Biomedical Sciences program, and Monica Cano, of Mustang, an adult graduate of the Surgical Technology program.

The El Reno Campus Foundation Outstanding Scholars are Christina Perez Sandoval, of Yukon, a graduate of Computer Programming, and Isaac Barr, of Oklahoma City, an adult graduate of Computer Information Systems.

An additional $1,000 was given by Camino Natural Resources to recognize a graduate who plans to work at a job closely related to the energy industry. That recipient is Raydin Townsley, a Yukon adult graduate of the Aviation Maintenance program.

Dr. Greg Winters Scholarship Awards, $200 - Karly Heitpas, Emergency Medical Services; Madyson Rains, Accounting & Business Management
Superintendent’s Meritorious Awards, $250 - Samantha Hopkins, Service Careers-Hospitality; Mikaela Dison, Health Careers
Howard Griffin Memorial Award, $250 - Brice Pfrehm, HVAC
Faith, Hope, & Love Award in Memory of Darlene Koos, $100: Olivia Walters-Hunt, Health Careers

CV Tech's Chickasha Campus Graduation ceremony is scheduled for 7 p.m., May 18, at Chickasha High School's auditorium.
