Canadian Valley Technology Center

EL RENO – Canadian Valley Technology Center will host two separate events aimed at helping prospective business owners in the area.

The first is called “Ten steps for owning a small business.” It will be offered from 6:30-9 p.m., January 19, inside Room B133. This room is accessed through the Business and Industry Services entrance on the west side of the El Reno campus, 6505 E. Hwy. 66.

This seminar will provide information about what is necessary to own, operate and manage a successful small business. Federal and state regulations will be discussed, as well as information on how to secure funding to finance a business.

Cost is $20 per person.

A separate but related workshop entitled, “How to develop an effective business plan” will be held from 6:30-9 p.m. on January 21 in Room B133. Cost is also $20 for the workshop, which will include a discussion on the specific steps involved in the development of a successful business plan.
