Advanced IV Therapy
Covers central lines, PICC lines, venous access devices, blood types and compatibility, transfusion of blood and blood products, and total parenteral nutrition. Includes hands-on practice in the laboratory initiating IV therapy, administering IV medications, and caring for different types of IV lines. Designed to build on the Basic course and to include additional refresher information for RN’s. Prerequisite: Registered Nurse.
